These follow the pattern described in the Alfonso manuscript of the late 13th C, and were used in playing variants of chess, tables, morris games and alquerque.

Wooden gaming pieces may be natural wood colour, or stained dark brown, red, yellow or green. Wooden pieces can also be painted with gesso and egg tempera in any colour but please ask for the price of these.

Fired ceramic (unglazed) pieces are terracotta, black or white.
